What’s involved

A Marine Biologist studies all forms of life in the ocean and conducts research to gain a greater understanding of their anatomy, physiology, behaviour and characteristics and the marine environments that sustain them. Research areas may include water quality, micro plastics, individual marine species and their habitat, the effects of dredging or how pollution affects marine life and organisms. These research and conservation efforts support the seafood industry and enhance our recreational fishing environments.
