A quality control specialist is responsible for the quality and safety of incoming and outgoing raw materials or products for a company. Using various quality control systems and techniques they monitor, adjust and implement quality guidelines and procedures for production and inspect and test that all products are to the required standard before going to market.

A quality control specialist works from an office, laboratory and the factory floor to complete tasks such as:
• Reviewing and updating standard operating procedures
• Materials and product inspection and testing
