What’s involved

A ship chandler is a logistics and supply specialist who is on call to take ship or vessel supply and food provision orders and organise these supplies via a marine supplier (or chandlery) to be delivered directly to the ship, often with a quick turnaround required. A chandler can work directly for the ship or vessel or for a marine supplier to source and deliver whatever the vessel needs including food, water, spare parts, safety gear or fuel.
