Marine and Aquaculture Technology Content Endorsed Course Years 7–10 Syllabus
Developed by the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA), the syllabus is a comprehensive curriculum designed to engage students in sustainable marine and water-related environments. It encompasses a core module and 48 elective modules across seven focus areas: Biology, Ecology, Leisure, Aquaculture, Employment, Management and General Interest. It emphasises practical skills in designing, producing, evaluating, and managing marine and aquaculture systems. Little Angler Kits
The Little Angler Kit Project, initiated by the Victorian Fisheries Authority (VFA), offers free fishing kits to Grade 5 students and primary-aged students at specialist schools across Victoria. Each kit includes a fishing rod, reel, tackle box, and a guide to fishing. The VFA delivered these kits to schools by mid-February 2024, with an opt-out option available for parents and carers. The project aims to encourage outdoor activity and introduce children to recreational fishing.
