Australian Rural Leadership Program (ARLP)
ARLP supports individuals who want to respond to regional, rural, and remote Australia’s most complex challenges, as well as the opportunities that arise. ARLP involves
- 15-months program including 4 face-to-face sessions between 5-10 days in length, online sessions and independent project work
- both international and remote domestic travel with isolation from day-to-day duties and limited to no contact
Applying is competitive and rigorous - applicants are matched to a funding partner whose industry or purpose they align with. Cohorts are announced every February with the program running from June (course intake) until September the following year. Expressions of interest are open all year round.
Certificate IV in Aquaculture
This qualification will give you the knowledge and skills required to manage the breeding operations of an aquatic animal nursery.
Certificate III in Aquaculture
This qualification will give you the skills and knowledge to work across various roles in Aquaculture including checking on water quality and the identification of pests and disease.
Certificate IV in Maritime Operations (Master up to 45 metres Near Coastal)
This course will equip you with specialised skills and knowledge to be a Master on vessels up to 45 metres in length.
With this certificate you can command a vessel less than 45 metres near coastal. This certificate will allow you to work as:
- Master on commercial vessels up to 45 metres long within the exclusive economic zone (EEZ)
- Master on vessels up to 100 metres long in inshore waters
- Chief mate or deck watchkeeper on vessels up to 100 metres long within the EEZ
- Undertake the duties and perform the functions of a General Purpose Hand NC
