Proven experience in planning and preparing meals for a large group of people. Certification in first aid and CPR may be required by some employers.

Food safety and hygiene regulations and practices, meal and dietary planning, various cooking techniques, cuisine styles and preparation and attention to individual dietary requirements

Ability to work in a confined space with limited resources, strong organisational and time management skills, able to work under pressure, works well with others
