Fisheries Observers
A fisheries observer works to monitor and prevent illegal fishing in Australian waters and ensure that commercial fishers and their vessels are compliant with their obligations. Fisheries observers are placed on board a commercial fishing vessel to monitor and collect fishing effort data, samples and make environmental observations. This data is used to monitor protected species and set allowable quotas for marine species.
General Manager

Feeder
A feeder working in aquaculture is the person that is responsible for overseeing the feed requirements, nutrition and feeding routines of aquatic animals. Depending on the industry sector, feeding may be done manually or by operating feeding equipment and cameras remotely.
Sectors include: salmon, cod, trout, barramundi, abalone, oysters, prawns, crabs and lobsters.

ROV (remotely operated vehicle) Pilot
Remotely operated vehicles (ROV's) are operated by specialists on a surface ship, much in the same way aerial drones are operated on land. They are used to inspect underwater structures, monitor the marine environment, maintain and repair damaged equipment at depth, assess stock health and to conduct environmental impact studies amongst a multitude of other tasks that in the past would have been the role of divers to undertake.
Watch Keeper
The watch keeper on a ship or vessel is a member of the crew that has a specific duties called Watches that ensure the safe and continuous operation of the vessel, their main role is keeping watch, navigation and communication with the skipper and other crew members.
