Commercial Diver
A commerical diver can work in aquaculture, fisheries or deep-sea fishing and follows strict safety protocols for the use of dive equipment to support the collection or production of fish and other aquatic species.

A skipper is highly skilled and holds various licences, tickets and accredited qualifications relevant to the size of vessel they oversee and where they travel to.
Dive Supervisor
A dive supervisor is responsible for planning, conducting, and monitoring safe dive operations, they can work offshore on a fishing vessel or on shore in sea farms and fisheries. Dive supervisors manage risk, they follow strict safety protocols and are responsible for emergency and medical response. The Dive supervisor oversees the dive team who conduct underwater retrieval, net inspections, monitor and report on the health of the farmed species, check mooring, prepare and clean nets.
Marine Mechanic
A qualified marine mechanic installs replacement parts, services and repairs all types of boat and watercraft engines such as inboard, outboard, stern drive and jet propulsion motors and includes electrical systems and components, charging systems, instruments, and controls.
Fishing Fleet Manager
A fishing fleet manager is a logistics and marine vessel specialist and is responsible for overseeing that all vessels in use are accounted for, fit for purpose and safe, they schedule vessel maintenance, order parts and equipment, manage a budget and purchase new vessels as required.
Marine Electronics Technician
A marine electronic technician installs and repairs all types of electronic communication, safety, navigation, sound and sonar equipment for fishing vessels, they diagnose and repair faults and install new equipment
Second Mate
A second mate is part of the crew, reports directly to the First Mate and is third in command on the ship or fishing vessel. The second mate supports the first mate in an emergency and is responsible for navigation, anchoring and docking, onboard safety, communication and supporting the daily tasks of the crew.
Sectors include, tuna, whiting, salmon, prawns, mackerels, snapper, crabs, lobsters and pearls.
Watch Keeper
The watch keeper on a ship or vessel is a member of the crew that has a specific duties called Watches that ensure the safe and continuous operation of the vessel, their main role is keeping watch, navigation and communication with the skipper and other crew members.
